DETAILS
In partnership with the Knights of Columbus Council 13701 and Shred-It Ottawa, 1-800-GOT-JUNK? Ottawa is hosting its second annual shred-it day at the Elmvale Centre, located at 1910 St-Laurent Blvd, corner of Smyth.
For a small fee, members of the public can watch as a Shred-it technician securely shreds their old tax files and other confidential documents. Money donated will benefit charities that support local families and youth.
Identity theft is on the rise and can happen to anyone. The Knights want to spread the word and urge everyone to take charge of their private papers. The fee is $8 per one cubic foot box, with a suggested maximum of 5 boxes per person. A mobile Shred-it truck and professional operator will be stationed in the Elmvale Centre parking lot near the corner of Smyth Road and Othello Street (near St. Laurent Blvd) from 9:00 am until 1:00 pm on Saturday May 9th.
• NOTE maximum 5 banker boxes per person
CHARITY
